Reason why I write: I write with the aim of communicating. It enables me to share stories, express meaning, and transmit information, allowing me to put my thoughts and ideas into physical shape. It also allows me to explain difficult and abstract thoughts in a way that others can understand. In addition, I write to preserve my views and ideas for future generations, or posterity. Writing allows me to chronicle my experiences, views, and ideals so that they are not forgotten over time. Furthermore, writing is therapeutic and enables for self-expression. It allows me to express my inner thoughts and feelings about specific subjects, and I find peace in my writings. Writing also allows me to enlighten, convince, and express myself while simultaneously addressing society's inadequacies. I think authors are designed to identify society shortcomings, so the finer nuances of information are presented explicitly and implicitly for learning reasons.
My favourite authors are Chinua Achebe, Ngugi wa Thiongo, Mariam Ba, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Franz Fanon, Blessing Miles Tendi, Dambudzo Marechera, Flora Veit-Wild.
My favourite stories on The GOAT PoL include The Unsuccessful Escape , Guilty Images , Inflation-poem , While Violence endangers my gender ,
My favourite subject(s) to write about include History, Politics, Economics, Gender, Love, International Relations, Peace and Conflict, and Human Rights.
The most difficult part I find about writing is For me, the toughest component of writing is the never-ending pursuit of excellence. As a perfectionist, I frequently go back and revise my work several times, attempting to make it as faultless as possible. This relentless desire for perfection can be tiring and stifle the creative process. To address this, I have learnt to realise that writing is an iterative process and that faults in my work are acceptable.
Most rewarding moment as a writer for me is My best experience as a writer was receiving an email from a reader who had discovered one of my articles in the local newspaper (The Sun Newspaper- Gweru, Zimbabwe). In the email, she mentioned how much my remarks had connected with her and helped her get through a tough moment in her life. She went on to explain that she had shared my piece with her friends and family, who found it to be comforting and inspiring. Reading her email brought tears to my eyes and filled my heart with immense thanks and fulfilment. Knowing that my comments may have a profound impact on someone's life was an incredible sensation. It was then that I realised the actual significance and value of being a writer. It is not only about the words on the page, but also about connecting with and positively influencing people through storytelling. This incident not only confirmed my love of writing, but it also served as a reminder of the responsibility that comes with this profession. It encouraged me to keep utilising my voice and words to share happiness, inspire others, and make a difference in the world. This encounter will always retain a special place in my heart and will forever be my most valued and satisfying moment as a writer.
