I grew up in Stiens, Netherlands
I currently live in
Groningen, Netherlands
I was raised in Dutch, Frisian, English. (languages)
I read and write in Dutch, English. (languages)
I write Poetry, Prose, Fiction, Short_stories, Diary. (genres)
I write for
friends, private, public online.
Reason why I write: I love how layered language is. It's a way for me to wander off, to explore, to find the layers of meaning I had unknowingly been looking for.
My favourite authors are Sally Rooney, Yoko Ogawa, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Alan Moore, Yasunari Kawabata.
My favourite stories on The GOAT PoL include Dwellings ,
My favourite subject(s) to write about include Transience, Time, Change, Metamorphosis, Identity.
The most difficult part I find about writing is To accept that writing is a process of constant destruction, and therefore painful at times.
Most rewarding moment as a writer for me is When I didn't recognize myself in a text I had written, and realized I discovered something new about myself.
