Reason why I write: I write because I am an Afghan girl, and I feel a lot of pressure from society, family, and culture. Writing helps me express what is in my mind and makes me feel a little calmer. Another reason is that I truly enjoy writing, and it is one of the few things that gives me a sense of peace. I also write because it helps me understand my feelings better and share my thoughts in a way that I cannot always do through speaking. I also write because I want to be the voice of Afghan girls. I do not want my generation to become a forgotten part of history. For years, many Afghan girls have been denied their right to education, and their voices and dreams have been ignored. Through my writing, I want to share our stories, our struggles, and our hopes, so that the world remembers us and understands that we are not just a forgotten chapter of history. We have dreams, talents, and voices that deserve to be heard.
My favourite authors are Fyodor Dostevsky, Franz Kafka, Ernest Hemingway, Hakan Mengüç.
