The most difficult part I find about writing is finding time to start it.

As one of the Reader, Advisor, Editors (RAEs) for The GOAT PoL, I find sending commissions to writers both exciting and challenging—new stories always feel like a fun surprise, coming from writers who are unknown to me as much as I am to them. I love working with writers who offer fresh perspectives, share stories that are rarely heard, and are open to experimenting with their writing. That is why I always check a writer's CP (Contributor’s Page) before sending them a commission code: (1) to see if we share any interests or have anything in common that could help us build a fun, collaborative relationship, and (2) to read their previously written pieces (both published on The GOAT PoL and those uploaded on their CP) to gain a better understanding of their approach to writing. What I look for is not “perfect” writing; I am rather interested in pieces that are raw, flawed, and lively—the kind that suggests potential and gratitude for creativity.
