Bio:
I am Somaya Shirzada (VOWs), a sixteen-year-old girl from Herat, Afghanistan. As one of my friends once said, “If there were no pain, there would be no art.” I believe that sometimes there are no words to describe certain situations, yet writing remains one of the arts through which pain finds its voice. That is why I hold on to it. I am also a member of the Herat Literary Association, and I continue to read and write, because otherwise, they might ask, “Wait, what kind of “voice of words” goes silent? 😉 😁
