I wish I had the chance to be with my parents again

I wish I still had a chance too.
A chance to be with my parents again,
To feel their love, though now I have a beard.
Their love doesn’t need assurance.
Their love is pure.
Please, I wish I had a chance.

To you who still have your parents,
Take care of them.
Pray for them.
There’s nothing as refreshing on earth as the love of parents.
Their hands carried me when I couldn’t walk.
Their prayers covered me when I was in danger.

My parents gave me the last slice of bread, and it was “enough.”
During cold nights they stayed up to make sure I was warm.
And now, time has moved fast.
My voice is now deeper, my shoulders are broader,
But in my heart, I’m still my parents’ child.
I could still run to them.

Speaking as though I’m two years old.
Please, my dear,
Pray for your parents.
Tell God to protect them from the plans of evil.
I wish I knew how to pray for mine when I was very young.
So if you still have your parents, don’t wait.

Hold their hands.
Take some time to listen to their stories twice.
To kiss them on the forehead and tell them,
“I see you.
Thank you.
I love you.” Because one day the house will be quiet,

All we’ll have left are memories of when they said “my child.”
Don’t let regret be.
It’s the only thing that speaks after they’re gone.
Love them now
While the dew is still fresh.
Maybe it’s hard for you to understand me.

Please understand me.
There are people in life who are irreplaceable.
Those people are our parents.
Make them proud always.
Love your parents.
Pray for them.

The purest love we can get is from our parents.
I remember my grandma’s words:
“You will only realize that something is beautiful after you’ve lost it.”
I want you to find that beauty before it departs
Because I didn’t have a chance.
I wish I had a chance.
