Outlaw Imaginations I

Out There Somewhere

There’s a tear stained memory
In a bedroom with no walls
Lyin’ determined on a piller
Hidin’ from the angry calls.

The carpet’s fulla holes
Burnt in by her tears
Of all the nights he didn’t come home
And all the achin’ lonely years.

She’s cryin’ once again
Packin’ a suitcase of things unsaid.
Her big brown eyes fadin’ blue
she’s paintin’ her lips up cherry red.

Prayin’ her night out there somewhere
Will help her broken heart forget.
She finally smiles a smile
Ridin’ a train of no regrets.

God Only Knows

Sitting out yunder on that ole front porch swang
With the prettiest girl sittin’ right next to me
Wiggling her pretty pink painted toes
How I got this lucky, God only knows.

Sippin’ ice cold tea
Outta an ole mason jar
My sweet mama made a few minutes ago
How I got this lucky, I’ll never know.

Summer days, you can’t let go
I can still feel her hungry smile
And hear her giggle at my ole goofy jokes
How I got this lucky, God only knows, folks!

Thankin’

Them ole church bells ringin’
On Sunday mornin’ down south
Saints gettin’ together
‘Neath an ol’ live oak tree.

Thankin’ the Good Lord
For settin’ ‘em free,
Thankin’ the Good Lord
For Eternity!

They put on their boots
They put on their hats
They strap on their guns
Gone to kick some ass.

Ridin’ with Jesus,
Is the only way,
Get yaself ready boys,
Hell gets paid along the way!

Thankin’ Almighty God for settin’ us free,
Thankin’ Him for you and me.
Like Bonnie and Clyde we will be
Wild as Hell thru out Eternity!
