Proposal

I don’t need red roses
I don’t want a diamond ring
Just look me in the eyes
And propose to me again.

I don’t need a palace
With its golden stones
A mud house is a palace
When our hearts are sewn.

I want you to feel me
When I need to talk
When I need to tell you
The unsaid of my heart.

I want your loving shade
Over my head forever
To walk with me side by side
To hold me close as ever.

I need to share with you
My grief and sadness
The secrets that I hide
My happiness and madness.

I always need your hug
Envelop me everywhere
Love me unconditionally
As promised—forever.

I want you to hold my hands
Invite me to your life
I count the days to say yes,
I will be your wife.
