A year had passed after Kimberly and Victor got married and left for the city. From the time of the wedding procession, no one in the town had heard from Camila again and nobody knew where she disappeared to. Victor on the hand was doing well as a businessman. He was the new business tycoon who owned several hotels in the City of Gulu.His wife, Kimberly was a stay-at-home wife who now was five months pregnant. Her husband gave her everything she ever wanted and treated her like a queen so there was no need for her to actually work. They both were so much in love that nothing could ever come between them or so they thought.
It was a Sunday morning when Kimberly was headed to the market to buy food and other basics needed for in her home when she suddenly bumped into Camila who looked so miserable. Kimberly was so happy to see her lost and now found cousin that she immediately hugged her.In return, Kimberly pushed her away and bluntly told her that she wasn’t interested in seeing her (Camilla). She continued to emphasise that she was back in the town only to take back what belongs to her and that was Victor.
“So after all this while, you think our lives were on hold just to wait for you?. I thought after all this time you must have changed from your old ways. Well I am happy to see you but there is one thing you need to know. Everyone has moved on, you should also do the same.” Camilla responded, shocked by her cousin’s words and actions.
“I really don’t care about what you have to say, all I know is that I am here to take back my man that you stole from me. And am going to do everything possible to get him back,” Camilla declared.
“Which man? The one you rejected on your wedding day or is there some other man you are talking about? Because as far as I know, you refused to get married to Victor and didn’t have a problem with us getting married back or you disappearing into thin air. So why all this drama right now?” Kimberly shouted.
“Well I have warned you, I want my man back!” Camilla said.
“For your information, Victor and I are so much in love that nothing can ever break us apart. Not even you Camila. I wish you the best!” Kimberly boldly said.
Kimberly,avoiding more drama with Camila just walked away, leaving her standing there looking like a fool. It turned out Camila refused to get married to Victor because she thought the man that had got her pregnant was better than Victor and would take good care of her. Little did she know that leaving Victor was the worst decision she had ever made in her entire life. After Victor and Kimberly got married, she immediately left with Daniel, the man responsible for her pregnancy. Everything was going on well for the both of them for some time. Daniel gage her princess treatment and Camilla was convinced she had found her soulmate,finally.
Regular trips and surprises gifts had become a norm in Camilla’s life.Unfortunately, they lost their baby during one of their trips. Daniel comforted her and assured her that they would soon have another baby. She lost focus on her business during the time she was grieving.
Four months later, the business that she had worked so hard for had slowly gone down the drain.She was left to depend on Daniel who didn’t seem to have a problem with it.With time, Daniel got tired of doing everything and just decided to leave her, blaming her for the death of their child too. He left the country and Camila was left with nothing except for pain and regrets. She heard how big Victor had made it and how he was treating Kimberly like a queen. This made her more determined to get back Victor. She thought Victor still loved her but little did she know that he had moved on with his life and was immensely in love with his wife Kimberly.
After her encounter with Kimberly on her way to the market, she decided to trace where Victor’s office was and paid him a visit.
“May I come in please?” Camilla asked, knocking on the door.Victor lifted his head to see who it was because the voice sounded familiar, only to see that it was Camilla.
Victor, who was shocked to see her, stared for a while and asked her to come in. From his facial expression, he wasn’t at all pleased to see her.
“Yes, how may help you Camilla? It’s been a while since we last heard or saw you.” Victor, who was surprised by her presence asked.
“Well, I wanted to talk to you about something very important. Firstly, I want to start by apologising on how I left you on our wedding day. I am sincerely sorry Victor. I don’t know what came over me. I now know that I can’t live without you and I really want to win you back.” Camila narrated.
“Well, I have heard of you and I’m so sorry to disappoint you. As you know, I have a very beautiful and great wife who is soon giving me a child. I love her so much that I wouldn’t trade her with any other woman in this world. As you can see again, I am a very busy man, please find your way out of here,” Victor explained.
“Please, you can’t do this to me, I love you so much and I want you back.” She insisted.
“I won’t repeat myself, you know where the door is,” Victor calmly said.
Camila who could not bear the shame anymore grabbed her bag and left immediately. She went as far purchasing a gun which she wanted to use to get rid of Kimberly but instead changed her mind and decided to commit suicide because she couldn’t bare the shame of everyone looking at her like a loser.
Losing her life was her only way out until one day.
